Orbit Technologies Closes Pre-Seed Round

Welcome to the second Georgetown Ventures community update of the fall semester. We're thrilled to share some of the exciting developments coming out of our startup ecosystem with you all.

First, we are pleased to announce that Orbit Technologies recently closed their pre-seed funding round. Orbit is a neurotech device that interfaces with the vestibular system to create highly immersive gaming experiences. Steven Pang (CAS '26) and Colton El-Habr (JHU ‘25) are second-time GV founders that have been relentlessly building their product for over a year. The round will enable them to further build their team and deploy their first commercialized product. They expect to take Orbit to the gaming market this fall and plan to expand to medical applications thereafter.

We are truly humbled to work with these incredible founders on such an important product. Steven and Colton wholly embody the GV spirit and what it means to be a Hoya entrepreneur. Thank you to everyone in our community for the support that has made their success possible.

Entrepreneurially,

Spotlight:

Link Accepted to PROD Accelerator

Link automates the burdensome parts of social planning. During their time at PROD, the team will be running experiments to test theses around social interaction with seasoned entrepreneurs in the space.

Link founders Jai Kondapalli (MSB ‘24) and Jason Park (Columbia ‘24) first met as summer interns a few months. Since taking their idea to Georgetown Ventures, the team has made a few key hires, completed intensive customer discovery, and deployed several iterations of the product. Link is expected to hit the app store later this semester.

The Link team was recently accepted to PROD's 3.0 Cohort. PROD is a highly-selective accelerator run by Harvard and MIT alumni and holds the #1 spot of Y-Combinator referrers. Since their inception in 2021, they’ve converted 70 students to full-time founders that have raised over $140M.
