League Update from LTJBSA


    Hello all Lawrence Little League and Lawrence Babe Ruth Families.  We hope that this email finds you safe and healthy.  For the past several weeks, the LTJBSA  has been struggling with decisions on how to proceed  with our season.  

While it seems at times that life will never get back to normal - we know that at some point it will.  

At this point though, after consulting with our board, Lawrence Township Officials and LTJBSA families, we have come to the difficult decision to officially suspend the 2020 season until further notice.  

What does this mean?  Basically  we feel that we will not be on the fields in the near future and the season that we typically  know to exist will not happen.

 While we would love to have our baseball and softball fields filled with kids, coaches and umpires  and our concession stand serving Chicken Tenders, Fries and Pork Roll Egg & Cheese Sandwiches , we know this can not happen.  


If and when we get clearance  and approval for youth sports to begin again, we will certainly be part of that process.  When that will be and what that will look like is unknown.    

We feel we waited as long as we could in hopes that we could get back on the fields.  We feel devastated for all the kids, especially for the 12 Year Old Little League Players and the 15 Year Old Babe Ruth Players.  As with any person entering their last year of an event or organization - this is especially hard.  

We have included a link below to a registration refund survey that we need you to complete.  As you could imagine, we have incurred some expenses for the 2020 season.  While we know everyone's situation is completely   different, we ask that you complete the survey so that we know how to proceed with your refund.  

First, please know that we CANNOT defer your 2020 season registration to the 2021 season.  

So we have a couple options for you:



1. A complete 100% refund

2. A refund with a $15.00 ( $5.00 for T-Ball) administrative fee              withheld to help cover expenses

3. No refund - Your registration fee is a donation to the League.  



If you have multiple kids in the league - we need you to complete a separate survey for each player.  

Any refund will be issued back to the credit card you have on file.  We will communicate to you the timing of the refunds as soon as we know.  

We need the refund survey completed as soon as possible so we can proceed with the refunds in a timely and  efficient manner.  

Again, it breaks our heart to come to this decision, but the health and safely of all the kids, coaches, volunteers, parents and all fans needs to come first and foremost.
