Update from Lee
Tres:
Our first version of Tres – V1.0 – has been released (on a limited basis). And we are more than proud of our new family member and happy to note our goal of initial release within one year was achieved. Very exciting! Tres is Trams Back Office and ClientBase combined (Mid Back Office or MBO) and is browser based. The creation of Tres drew upon our years of experience to design an entirely new, and better system.

We are actively looking for “early adaptors”, people that want to convert to Tres from Trams Back Office and/or ClientBase. If interested, please reach out to our implementation Manager Beth Taylor (Beth.Taylor@TresTechnologies.com.) Beth will review the things to consider when converting including:

  1.  Functionality: Tres V1.0 has many functions, but not all that CB/TBO have. We want to make sure all the functions you need are released before conversion.
  2.  Integrations: As CB/TBO work with many other products and services; Tres will work with even more. We want to make sure the integrated functions you need are working and released prior to your conversion.

Trams:
Trams products needed some TLC which we are focused on providing. We have released several enhancements since re-acquiring Trams and will continue development and support for the foreseeable future (read that as years!). Although we view Tres as the long-term future; No one will ever have to leave Trams Back Office or ClientBase until and unless they choose to do so.

From Lee:
My team and I started Trams way back in 1987. I sold to Sabre in 2006 and left in 2009. I felt there has been a lot of evolution in Travel, Technology, CRM and Back Office; with these areas being our passion; we started Tres one year ago. Our Goal at Tres is to improve in two areas:

  1. Technology – Tres is total cloud-based inclusive of many benefits
  2. Approach: We have been able to “start over” with Tres benefiting from our years of experience, but not hampered by older, prior approaches. The world has changed, and Tres is designed for today’s needs.

Sabre saw our passion and focus and agreed for Tres to acquire Trams effective April 1, 2021. When we acquired Trams, we set goals to update and enhance internal systems, migrate off Sabre servers, move websites, training materials, etc. A crazy ride I admit, and not without some bumps, but the good news is the transition is behind us and its full steam ahead. (And yes, we apologize any conversion issues you felt.)

During 2022 our goal is to be able to handle 250 conversions a month – admittedly an optimistic goal. Even at 250 conversions a month it will take us over 18 months to convert the Trams current user base.

We do want you to know the investment, excitement, and passion we have in Tres. All consortia, reporting systems, client itinerary apps and every other ally is “in the know” and super supportive. We all want to move to the Tres better approach and better technology: We at Tres are and will work hard to make that happen. We have 64 full time employees, 17 work on Tres, while the majority support, maintain and manage Trams efforts. If any of us can ever be of help in anyway, please be encouraged to reach out to us.
