Dear friends,

I’m writing this note to you from my kitchen table, which has become my new workspace. Some of you might find yourself in the same situation, and some of you may still be going to work because your responsibilities necessitate it. Wherever you find yourself, I hope you and your loved ones are well and healthy.

While our galleries are closed to the public until early April , MAM staff are furiously working to implement distance learning opportunities for children and virtual studio sessions for teens and families. We are also creating remote options to connect with the exhibitions, permanent collection, and artists. Please make sure to follow us on social media, as we’ll be posting much more frequently to provide access to art during this difficult moment.

Lastly, I’m sure you're aware of the economic downturn as a result of the current pandemic in the United States and across the globe. Cultural institutions and nonprofits are not exempt from this trend. We understand that times are tough for everyone, regardless of your situation, but if you have the ability to donate, we would be especially grateful. MAM will be here when we come out of the other side of this, and we can’t wait to celebrate free expression and free admission with you again soon.

Thank you for your support, and be well!
