Stage 3 of Alberta’s Open for Summer Plan [July 1]
July 5, 2021

Dear Golf Industry Partners / Key Stakeholders,

The Alberta Government has confirmed details of the province’s move into Stage 3 of the Open for Summer Plan for July 1.
Highlight Of Changes
Masks
Mask use in public indoor settings is no longer required except for some specific situations (i.e. long term care and public transit).

Municipalities and business are free to adopt a mask policy as they see fit.
Public Health Orders
All business related public health measures have been lifted. This includes all restrictions on:

  • social gatherings (capacity limits removed for indoor and outdoor gatherings);
  • recreation, performance and entertainment activities;
  • business closures and capacity restrictions;
  • large events, including concerts, sporting events, exhibitions and festivals.
Please refer to the Open For Summer Plan for complete details of the above.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) has also posted General Guidance for COVID-19 and other Respiratory Infections. This document reviews risk mitigation and best practices to prevent infection at your business, please read through and adopt what you can at your facility.

Alberta is now in the final stage of the Re-open Alberta Plan and our industry can return to normal operational business at full capacity over all departments with the continued risk mitigation measures that are appropriate for your team and guests.

On behalf of NAGA AB we would like to thank all Alberta operators and their entire staff teams for their perseverance over the last year and a half. We are very proud of how professional and responsible our industry handled themselves during the health crisis and how everyone adapted to the guidance, managed their facilities during closures and restrictions while always keeping staff and guests safe. This pandemic has been quite the experience for all of us and we are glad to see that Alberta is now through it far enough to be able to re-open for business.

NAGA Alberta will continue to monitor Government announcements, seek clarification, and provide updates, if required in the future.

Sincerely,
Erica Beck
