January 7, 2021

Dear North Royalton City Schools’ Community,

Happy New Year! I hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday season.

While it is nice to have some time away, we have been very busy planning for the return of our students this coming Monday, January 11. Prior to winter break, each principal sent out specific information regarding this return to school. As a reminder, our elementary students will return five days a week beginning on Monday, January 11. Our middle school students will have remote synchronous learning every Monday where they log into each of their class periods from home and then the rest of the week will be blended with students with the last names A- K coming to school on Tuesday and Thursdays and students with the last names L-Z coming on Wednesday and Fridays. For our high school students, Mondays are an asynchronous day and then students with the last names A- K coming to school on Tuesday and Thursdays and students with the last names L-Z coming on Wednesday and Fridays.

Additional information, including our reopening plans, can be found on our District website.

A reminder that tomorrow, Friday, January 8, 2021, is a staff inservice day and there will be no instruction for students.

I ask you to continue to take precautions in your activities. Please avoid gatherings, social distance, wear your mask and wash your hands. We need to stay strong and vigilant in our efforts to return our students to our classrooms.

Sincerely,

Greg Gurka
Superintendent
