Protect your HEALTH and your VOTE
Dear Community Leaders and Members of Anne Arundel County,
Last week, County Executive Steuart Pittman announced plans to protect public health and voting integrity for the November 3 general election. Citing a triple threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal cutbacks to the US Postal Service, and a state retreat from mail-in voting, Pittman encouraged voters to make a plan to vote now, using one of four methods the county is providing: Vote by mail, ballot drop boxes, early voting, or voting on election day. Visit www.aacounty.org/vote for more details and request your mail-in ballot NOW.

Council Meetings – New Start Time 6:00 P.M. – Live Public Testimony
The County Council will continue to hold all meetings virtually in an effort
to keep members of the public and all staff as safe as possible during the current COVID-19 health crisis, and to comply with the State of Maryland’s Safer at Home recommendation and Governor Hogan’s Executive Order limiting public gatherings.
Starting on September 8, 2020, County Council Meetings will begin at 6:00 P.M and will include closed captioning. In addition, the Council will allow live testimony during the meetings. Pre-registration for this is required.
The Council continues to work hard to keep the public informed and involved in all meetings. Members of the public can still submit testimony and comments to the County Council using the available tools, can watch or listen to meetings, and beginning August 24, 2020, can sign up to offer spoken testimony during live virtual meetings. Please visit the Council website for updated information on how to participate or click here.
Please continue to monitor the County Council website to stay up to date on meeting format and participation as we move forward during the COVID-19 crisis.
