Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis Provide Transportation to Mass Vaccination Site

County Executive Steuart Pittman and Mayor Gavin Buckley announced today a collaborative effort to ensure county residents can access transportation to and from the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium mass vaccination site.

County Officials Encourage Landlords and Tenants to Seek Available Emergency Rental Assistance Funds to Keep Tenants Housed
|

County Executive Steuart Pittman and Kathleen Koch, Executive Director, Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. (ACDS) lauded the extension of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) federal moratorium on evictions for Failure to Pay Rent through June 30, 2021, and they urge tenants and landlords to use this additional time to take advantage of the County’s Emergency Eviction Program. They asked that landlords refrain from evicting tenants for other reasons, such as failure to renew leases in the meantime.

Apply for the Youth Advisory Council
|
|
The Youth Advisory Council is looking to fill three vacant seats for its second year. The council is looking for Anne Arundel County residents between the ages of 14-21 who attend either: Meade High School, Private school or are homeschooled.

Arundel Community Development Services Receives $2.8 Million in State Grants for Severn Intergenerational Center
|
|
County Executive Steuart Pittman thanked State leaders last week for helping close the funding gap for the Severn Intergenerational Center, a new multi-use facility being developed in the Severn area that will house a regional Boys & Girls Club, a County Senior Activity Center, and flexible community space to serve the surrounding communities.

BGE Accepting Applications for 2021 Green Grants Program
Application deadline: 6 p.m. on Friday, May 14.
|
|
BGE is now accepting applications from eligible nonprofits for grants of up to $10,000 to support environmental stewardship projects in the company's service area.
Green Grants applicants must be located in BGE's geographic service area and prospective projects must fall into at least one of BGE's environmental focus areas: conservation, education, energy efficiency, pollution prevention, and community engagement. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a board of directors, and must meet additional criteria to be eligible for a grant.
