School Reopening: Listening to Stakeholders

Join this session to learn about opportunities on how to start your career in the Finishing Trades. This pre-apprenticeship training provides individuals with hands-on training in the finishing trades. For example: commercial painting, industrial painting (factories, ships and bridges), glazing and glasswork, drywall finishing and sign and display. This program will run from Nov 9th to December 17th and will give participants instruction and practice in the Finishing Trades. Instructional training will be onsite at the Finishing Trades Institute located in Hanover, MD. The program will also include some instruction provided by AAWDC virtually.
The Childcare Providers Support Grant aims to assist Anne Arundel County licensed family childcare homes and childcare centers that have seen a significant decrease in enrollment over the last six months. Support for the initiative comes from $3 million of Anne Arundel County’s CARES Act funds.
Residents can view a calendar of upcoming community meetings in their area, review site plans and other documents, attend virtual meetings, watch previously recorded meetings, and provide public comments directly to the Office of Planning and Zoning - all through the new Community Meetings website.
