We started our budget process with seven town halls where we heard our residents share what they wanted to see in the county budget. We believe a fitting way to end the budget season is to return to our residents and explain how the approved FY22 budget invests in our communities. 

Our first visit will be to District 3. County Executive Pittman invites you to join us this Thursday, July 1 at 6:00 p.m. at Green Haven Wharf to hear about our new investments in your communities. 

County Executive Pittman joined survivors, family, leaders, and community to unveil the Guardians of the First Amendment Memorial in Annapolis at Newman Street and Compromise Street. Anne Arundel County will make several County facilities available to community members from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, and Wednesday, June 30 in response to prolonged high temperatures and excessive humidity.

Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman announced the appointment of Anne M. Budowski as the County’s new Chief Personnel Officer. Budowski’s appointment became effective on June 21, 2021.

“Anne Budwoski has done outstanding work for both the county and the state,” County Executive Steuart Pittman said. “She is the leader we need right now to ensure that our county maintains its reputation as a great place to work.”

County Executive Pittman announced the launch of YEAH!, an online tool that allows youth in our county to submit and search for service activities and events. Events are open to all students: public, private, homeschool and higher-education.

Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman announced the launch of applications for individuals interested in serving on the first round of Region Plan Stakeholder Advisory Committees, part of the County’s Plan2040 General Development Plan.
