An Update from the Office of Community Engagement and Constituent Services (CECS)
Dear Community Leaders and Members of Anne Arundel County,

G'mar Chatima Tovah to all of our residents observing Yom Kippur.

Also, happy start to Hispanic Heritage month! We look forward to learning this month about the history and culture of our Hispanic-Latino neighbors and working together to make Anne Arundel County the best place for everyone. Click here to learn more.

There is a lot of news in this week’s edition, including the announcement of a new grant program, lots of events, and plenty of opportunities to give public input on some key initiatives. Please take the time to look through it all and to give us your feedback!

Sincerely,

James Kitchin

Residents and businesses can report any damage incurred due to the severe weather event by filling out the Anne Arundel County Damage Assessment Data Collection form through September 23, 2021.

Please note that the tool is not a substitute for submitting insurance claims and that the damage assessment submission does not in any way guarantee federal, state, or local reimbursement. Data collection helps determine the severity of impact an incident or disaster has on individuals and communities, which can help us prepare for future events.
Meet Pepper, the Preparedness Pup, this Weekend!
Pepper has joined the OEM team to help encourage children and young adults to always be prepared for disasters. She is a 1yr old Black Lab/Hound mix rescue puppy who is full of energy and is prepared for anything. Pepper enjoys long walks, playing in the water, sticking her head out of the car window, barking at delivery drivers, and sharing preparedness tips with County residents. Pepper will be attending the Preparedness Games this Saturday, so be sure to say hello!
