An Update from the Office of Community Engagement and Constituent Services (CECS)
Dear Community Leaders and Members of Anne Arundel County,

The County Executive's Office has received multiple requests for consistent and easily-accessible vaccine updates. To meet this need, we are publishing a weekly report with information about vaccination sites, allocations, and registration processes.

These reports will be posted on aacounty.org and on social media when we receive the County's weekly allocation information from the State (Friday or Saturday). The report will continue to be shared in this newsletter as well.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health has announced that all COVID-19 second dose vaccination clinics scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, and Wednesday morning, February 10 will be canceled due to a delay in vaccine arrival. Canceled second dose appointments will be rescheduled. First dose vaccine clinics are unaffected by the delay.

County Executive Pittman Signs Amended and Restated Executive Order #42 
Last week, County Executive Steuart Pittman signed an amended and restated version of Executive Order #42. The revised order clarifies several provisions in the original order, which was signed on January 27.

The revised order makes the following changes, effective immediately:

  • Amends Section 19 to clarify that athletes may remove their face coverings while on the field of play, once competition is permitted to resume on February 8.
  • Amends Section 26 to remove the square footage provisions for bingo establishments.
  • Adds a new section 30, which permits wedding venues to open up to 50 percent capacity, or a maximum of 100 persons for outdoor events.

Excessive Cold Prompts Opening of Warming Centers
Anne Arundel County will extend the opening of warming centers in response to
extremely cold forecast temperatures to include the following dates and times:

  • 9:00 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2021, through 9:00 am Monday, February 15, 2021,*

*Warming Centers will remain open 24/7 during this time period

Anne Arundel County Police will designate District Station Community Rooms at the
following precincts as warming centers during these times:
  • Northern District: 939 Hammonds Lane, Baltimore
  • Eastern District: 204 Pasadena Rd, Pasadena
  • Western District: 8273 Telegraph Road, Odenton
  • Southern District: 35 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater
