An Update from the Office of Community Engagement and Constituent Services (CECS)
Protect Your Health and Your Vote
Dear Community Leaders and Members of Anne Arundel County,

After receiving over 1,500 new election judge applications, Anne Arundel County Board of Elections has added 3 additional election day voting sites, bringing our total to 31 sites across the county. Voters are not assigned to a specific site, you will be able to vote at ANY one of our early voting or election day sites.

Protect your health and your vote by requesting a ballot NOW at aacounty.org/vote and to make sure it gets recorded in time by using one of our secure drop boxes, located at each of our voting sites and the Board of Elections office in Glen Burnie. Read the full press release.

Best,

James Kitchin

Counting Everyone in the 2020 Census
Census takers are locals hired to help you and everyone in your home be counted in the 2020 Census. These census takers are visiting homes that have not yet responded to the Census. If you’re not home when they visit, you’ll be left with information about how to respond online, by phone, or by mail.

Safety is a priority

Census takers will wear masks and follow local public health guidelines and protocols while completing their work in neighborhoods. You can confirm the identity of a census taker by verifying their photo ID badge and official Census Bureau equipment.

The 2020 Census questionnaire only takes about 10 minutes, and is safe and secure. But don’t wait – the Census response deadline is September 30. Click here to get started.
Executive Order #30: Prohibit Residential Utility Cut-offs
Executive Order #30 prohibits residential utility service for county water or wastewater service from being terminated for nonpayment through November 15, 2020. It also suspends late fees for the same time period.

The executive orders and other COVID-19 resources and information are available on the county’s road to recovery webpage.
