Reminder - the Canada United Small Business Relief Fund has received a $12 million investment from the Government of Canada, and has reopened.

There are three categories of purchases that are eligible for reimbursement under the program:
• Purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Renovation of space to adhere to re-opening guidelines
• Enhancement of website/ developing e-commerce capability

This is a grant, not a loan, and you can find out more and apply here.

Alberta Employment Standards changes coming into effect November 1
Bill 32 was passed this spring with a focus on making employment rules more flexible for small business. Some changes include simpler rules for the holiday pay calculation, new rules around final pay at termination, and hours of work. Full announcement
