WE PARTICIPATED IN HILL DAY
Representatives from the Prison Education Program, PA Department of Corrections, and Vera Institute of Justice met virtually with Congressional offices to advocate for the restoration of federal Pell grant eligibility for incarcerated people. We know that education in prison impacts one's outcomes. The day after Hill Day, the House of Representatives voted in favor of Pell restoration! The Senate must now vote. We are hopeful.
EASTERN ALUM DONATES TO PEP
