Dear Parents, Staff and Community Members,

We value the importance of parent partnership to launch a successful school year, especially given the current pandemic conditions. We are hopeful and will continue to do our best to support our collective safety and well-being.

At last night's regular School Board meeting, another comprehensive presentation was shared regarding the District's 2020-2021 plan.  We want to highlight a few important topics that were discussed and invite you to a follow-up parent webinar scheduled for Friday, August 21 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. (please see details below to participate). During the webinar, Board members and administrators will provide a brief presentation and answer submitted parent questions. Please submit questions in advance by using this form. While it may not be possible to answer every question, common themes will be identified and addressed.

Expect Quarantine Absences (individuals and classes)
The District must follow the IL Department of Public Health (IDPH) guidance to ensure we are keeping our students and staff safe. This guidance changes frequently and continues to broaden the impact regarding circumstances that require quarantine and self-isolation.  It is probable that individuals and classes will be required to quarantine after the start of the school year.

Understand the District's Flexible Hybrid In-person & Remote Plan
Fortunately, the District has developed a flexible learning model that will account for individual and pod/class extended absences in response to the health department's dynamic quarantine directives. Our goal is to continue the learning experience whether on-site or quarantining from home by flexing our instructional delivery as needed.  You can learn more about our schedules and how we will manage quarantine absences by reading updated information in the District's Planning for 2020-2021 document here.

Again, please join our upcoming webinar on Friday to delve deeper into these topics:
