Belleville Public Schools will continue with virtual learning on Monday, May 11. While we have received positive information from the OEM that the fire is now completely out and contained, water pressure is currently varying around schools in the district. Therefore, virtual learning will continue through Monday to ensure everything is fully operational.
To support our students in accessing their education from home, Chromebook pickup was made available for any student in need, ensuring that every scholar had the tools necessary to fully participate in virtual learning.
We also recognized that many families were facing hardships beyond the classroom. To help ease the burden, Belleville Public Schools provided meals to families in need, distributed at Belleville High School in partnership with Maschio's Food Services. We will offer meals again on Monday, May 11, at Belleville High School from 7:30–11:30 a.m.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Belleville Office of Emergency Management, our township officials, and the brave emergency responders who have been working tirelessly to protect our community. Their dedication and service in the face of this emergency is nothing short of extraordinary, and we are grateful for everything they have done.
