Dear Colleagues, Staff, and Students:

As many of you know, we have initiated a strategic design process to frame a compelling vision for the future of the College of Engineering, an essential step in reaching our goal for a revitalized, vibrant institution. I am grateful to those of you who have engaged in the process thus far, from one-on-one interviews to joining focus groups.

To facilitate transparency about this process and so you can follow developments and continue to engage in this important work, we’ve created a Strategic Vision web page within the “About” section of the College website. This page provides details on our consultants Greenwich Leadership Partners (GLP), and our project timeline.

The design process has only just begun. I expect it to last through 2019, and encourage you to bookmark the page so you can follow along as we add new information on activities, as well as what we’ve uncovered in our focus groups, surveys, and consultations with GLP and University leadership. We’ll post updates—like the visit from GLP to campus next week—and markers of our progress. You will also find an email address to which we invite your questions and comments.

Your participation in this process is vital. The strength of our College depends on input from all corners of this incredible community. And as always, I remain open to your comments through my confidential email, .
