We want to update you on an important development regarding the Trump administration’s recent announcement ordering a temporary pause on all federal grants, cooperative agreements, and loans. This afternoon, the White House rescinded the original memo issued by the Office of Management and Budget.

This order has created much confusion and concern among SMFM members. Although this is an apparent reprieve from the threat posed to the health and well-being of our patients, as well as to many MFMs, we cannot guarantee that there will not be a subsequent iteration of the original order. Be assured that we continue to monitor this situation and will alert you with additional information as it becomes available.
