Update on Wednesday's City Commission Meeting

On May 8th, the City of Dayton Commissioners voted to support a resolution "urging" Premier Health to enter into a transfer agreement with Women's Med Center. Dayton Right to Life was represented by Executive Director, Margie Christie, and the Board Chair Gary Taphorn. Though the resolution was approved, we do NOT anticipate Premier Health to enter in this agreement with Women's Med Center. According to a spokesperson, their governance law would not allow such an agreement. We were disappointed that the City of Dayton would use this opportunity to bully Premier Health and Kettering Health Network into such an agreement. We appreciate the stand our local hospitals have taken to not associate with a facility that has been unlicensed for over 3 years! Thank you to all our supporters who contacted the city officials. I highly recommend that those of you who are city of Dayton residents, keep this in mind when you vote in November.

Please continue to pray for the final closure of Women's Med Center. We will keep you updated.
