Update on Vin Chicago Order Fulfillment Process
With our shift to Curbside Pick-Up, the amount of orders coming through the Vin Chicago website has increased exponentially. Even with our staff working in overdrive, it has been challenging for us to keep up with the pace.
To improve our order response time and make the process more manageable for our team, we are in the process of implementing an array of new procedures. As part of these new procedures:
- We will no longer be able to offer 'same day' pickup for online orders.
- For orders placed before 5:00pm each day, we will do our best to reply before midnight that day with a confirmation email containing a date and time when the order will be available to be picked up.
Please note that it will take us a few days to work through the backlog of orders. It is our hope that once the new process is fully up and running that we will be able to process most orders for next day pick-up. In the interim, please make sure to closely review the pick-up availability date in your confirmation email.
We have noticed that Saturdays (and Friday afternoons) are particularly busy times for pickup. In order to avoid a potentially extended wait time, we suggest you swing by to pick up your wine on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday if possible.
