Dear High School Parents,

Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School is off to a great start for the 2021-2022 School Year, advancing the aim for everyone to be their best and to be the future. Part of the excitement has been the promotion of a variety of spirited, student-oriented activities designed to build community and to have fun, such as our senior class painting their own parking spaces. While for nearly everyone involved, great enthusiasm and school pride has emerged for starting this tradition at the High School, the thoughtless and potentially criminal actions of an individual or two, who were not being their best, attempted to dampen the mood. Fortunately, our unified and devoted high school family will not let that happen. In fact, our school community has rallied around the individual and family whose parking space was defaced with a great deal of love, donations, encouragement and other types of generous support emphasizing our commitment to be one community.

Make no mistake, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools is working with our local police departments in actively investigating the matter to determine exactly who was involved, and once identified, to administer the appropriate consequences to those individuals to the fullest extent possible. These types of actions will not be tolerated.

A time-honored tradition for the graduating class in many school districts, permitting our seniors to paint their own parking spaces celebrates the start of their final year in the building, and in the district. More than 30 parking spaces have been cheerfully and creatively decorated, filled with school spirit, vibrance, individual talent and involvement, and future college plans. They look awesome! Thank you to the PSO and other members of the BBHHS family for helping. Our gratitude is also extended to those who are actively working to prevent the senseless and selfish actions of a few, from detracting from such a joyful experience for seniors, and one which we hope to continue for many years to come.

Take a look at the excellent artwork from our seniors and their painted parking spaces below. Thank you for your continued support.

Go Bees!
