Good afternoon, .

Policymakers at both the state and federal level are working quickly to provide relief to businesses and individuals impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Congress has passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, sending it to President Donald J. Trump for his signature. In the coming days, we will be sharing more detail and resources on this new economic relief law, which expands unemployment benefits, provides direct payments to households and offers tax relief and cash flow assistance to businesses.

Here in Michigan, just today the application process for the Michigan Small Business Relief Program has gone live. Small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 virus can now apply for their share of $20 million in grants and loans. Information on how to apply, as well as eligibility criteria, is available at michiganbusiness.org/covid19.
