A compelling story detailing the history of the Punta Gorda Veterans' Park Vietnam Wall has been written by TEAM board vice president Betsy Spagnolo and retired Air Force General Dick Carr. It was submitted to America in Bloom's "Vibrant Community" nationwide contest. Winners will be announced at the end of this month.

TEAM's January 26, 2023 Annual Community Meeting will feature remarks and insight from Micah Richins, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sunseeker Resorts Charlotte Harbor, slated to open in May. The meeting will be held at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. The event will be capacity controlled because of the level of interested expected.   

A second submission to America in Bloom’s “Outstanding Achievement Award” was written by Joyce Laubach. The category is “Celebrating Vitality.” A perfect opportunity to highlight what makes Punta Gorda the best place to live, work and play. This story will surely put a smile on your face.
