Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) accepted applications for 2020 HOME and Housing Credits on February 12, 2020. Thirty-seven applications with sites located in 29 different counties were submitted:
- 15 HOME combined with Housing Credits
- 22 Housing Credits only
- 4 Community Housing Development Organizations
- 6 prior-funded AHFA HOME projects
- 21 for families
- 16 for the elderly
- 23 new construction
- 14 acquisition/rehabilitation
On June 25, 2020, AHFA’s Board of Directors approved 20 projects in 20 counties for allocations:
- 8 HOME combined with Housing Credits
- 12 Housing Credits only
- 10 new construction
- 10 acquisition/rehabilitation
- 1,018 Housing Units
