Dear Cristo Rey Jesuit Community,

Last night, due to the rioting activity in South Minneapolis, our school had four lobby windows broken. However, no one entered the building and no looting took place.

We were very fortunate compared to our neighbors, as Auto Zone was burned to the ground. Sadly, many places that were boarded up yesterday were ripped open and looted again. We have a team of people cleaning up. I will share more as I learn more.
As you know, the Cristo Rey Jesuit community is designed to support students and families as they experience trauma. One of our Jesuit values Cura Personalis, care for the whole person, calls us to support each other fully in times of need.

Our mission is needed now more than ever. And there is no place I’d rather be. Please pray for the family and loved ones of George Floyd, all our students, graduates, families, staff, and our city.

In peace,

Jeb Myers
