Dear Early Learning Providers:
After hearing concerns regarding the Department’s communication last week, which included a reminder that funds must be expensed by December 30, the State reviewed the public guidance available from the Delaware Department of Justice, the guidance available from the United States Treasury and its Office of Inspector General, and consulted with the State’s Division of Accounting.
Upon further review, we are pleased to share that we have confirmed that when the funds leave the State they are considered expended for the purpose of the federal grant. Given that, the information regarding the need for providers to expend Enhanced Reimbursement funds by December 30 is retracted.
