USMS Liability Release and Waiver Form Update
Greetings!

As some of you begin to resume swim practices, we wanted to help you educate your members and potential members while offering some additional protection as we press through these challenging times. We've put together a COVID-19 Volunteer Information page with resources and updates pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic as it relates to our LMSCs and volunteers.
USMS Liability Waiver Update
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective immediately, U.S. Masters Swimming has updated the official Liability Release and Waiver Form, vetted by USMS legal counsel.

The waiver has been updated in the following locations on usms.org:

Please ensure the updated waiver language is being used as swimmers return to the pool and new events are being sanctioned.
COVID-19 Liability Waiver Template for Clubs
An aquatic facility may ask a club to provide a liability waiver executed by its members that addresses the COVID-19 pandemic. Although not a USMS requirement, this liability waiver, vetted by USMS legal counsel, may be used to satisfy this request. This waiver may also provide coaches and their staff with additional liability protection while educating their members on the inherent risk of participating in a planned activity hosted by their club.
We hope you, your families, and your community are staying healthy during this pandemic. Thank you for all you do to support USMS and helping us navigate this together.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Volunteer Services for help.
