The PATH Intl. Credentialing Council (PICC) has acknowledged the need to modify the policy requiring 120 hours of teaching therapeutic riding as a PATH Intl. CTRI before they are permitted to supervise CTRI applicant teaching hours.

In order to recognize the previous experience and skill level of successfully transitioned PATH Intl. CTRIs, the PICC has developed an amendment to the policy that permits this group of transitioned instructors to qualify for allowances that may be used to offset some of the hours required by the CTRI teaching hour supervision policy.

PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructors who have successfully transitioned to the PATH Intl. CTRI credential should review this document in order to determine if they are eligible to take any allowances. Please note the requirements and deadlines found on the rubric, and submit the completed and signed rubric form with any required information.

PATH Intl. CTRIs who do not qualify for any of the offered allowances will be required to meet the full 120 teaching hours (post-CTRI transition) before they are permitted to supervise CTRI applicant teaching hours.

 Sincerely,
The PATH Intl. Crede ntialing Co uncil
