THIS & THAT

HOST HOMES NEEDED for the Tennessee Tech University Choir on Wednesday, March 6. On Ash Wednesday, March 6, the TTU choir will be presenting a concert and participating in our Ash Wednesday service. We are seeking host homes for 23 males and 23 females for that Wednesday night, and transportation back to the church on Thursday morning. If you have space in your home for a few of these students, please contact Mike Stallings, 966-6728, ext. 231.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SPEED - The church has received a complaint regarding people driving too fast within the neighborhood. We realize that many non Concord people come through this neighborhood daily, but we want to be good neighbors, so please drive the speed limit. Thank you!

NEEDED ITEMS! - The Children’s Sunday School Classes need empty Pringles cans in any size for their next rotation. You can drop them off by the Family Ministry Office or in the marked bucket on the metal racks across from the church office.

ALTAR FLOWERS NEEDED - If you would like to provide altar flowers in the Sanctuary for one of the Traditional services, please contact Carolyn Phillips, 865-659-0957 or phillipsmandc@gmail.com . Currently we have available dates on March 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Concord Care & Nurture Ministry

Encompassing five different ministry teams, this ministry seeks to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those unable to join regularly in worship or those who need special assistance from time to time.  The ministry teams are as follows:
·           Grace Ministry – Visit a homebound senior adult (Every 4 to 6 weeks for 20 – 30 minutes)
·          Extend the Table – Take communion to a homebound senior adult following communion Sunday
·           TLC – Deliver meals, prepared by the church hostess, one Thursday per month to homebound or recovering persons
·          Concord Caregivers – Provides occasional transportation to an appointment or helps with light grocery shopping (days and times will vary)
·          Concord Hope Builders – Provides help with simple home maintenance, such as light bulbs, replacing furnace filters, etc. (days/times vary)

If you are interested in becoming a part of any of these teams, please attend the Information and Training session on February 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 293

All persons currently serving in these ministries will need to attend, and update their Safe Sanctuary Training at this meeting in order to continue to serve in the ministry area.
