Jesus told St Faustina:

"My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter

for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. I pour out a whole ocean of

graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy (699)."

In three places in her Diary, St. Faustina

records our Lord's promises of specific, extraordinary graces:

I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go toConfession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy (1109).

Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (300).

The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (699).

To fittingly observe the Feast of Mercy, we should:

  1. Celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter (or its Vigil).
  2. Sincerely repent of all our sins.
  3. Place our complete trust in Jesus.
  4. Go to Confession, preferably before the Feast.
  5. Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast (or its Vigil).
  6. Venerate the Image of The Divine Mercy.
  7. Be merciful to others, through our actions, words, and prayers on their behalf.

To receive the Extraordinary Graces of this Feast, the only condition is to receive Holy Communion worthily on Divine Mercy Sunday (or the Vigil celebration) by making a good confession beforehand and staying in the state of grace and trusting in His Divine Mercy.

Watch 3 inspirational videos on Divine Mercy Sunday below. Listen to Fr Chris Alar in his most detailed talk yet about Divine Mercy Sunday.

What makes the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday extra special this year?

1.    It’s a jubilee year, the Jubilee Year of Hope

2.    It’s the 25th Jubilee Anniversary of Pope St. John Paul II’s proclamation of the liturgical celebration of Divine Mercy

3.    It’s the 25th Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Faustina

4.       It’s the Jubilee of Youth weekend for the Jubilee Year of Hope.

It was also supposed to be the canonization date of Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint, but due to the death of Pope Francis, this has been postponed. However, we know that Blessed Carlos Acutis is heaven's designated hero for this Jubilee of hope for the Youth. So we are celebrating this in a special way this Sunday.

Immediately our 10am Divine Mercy Sunday Mass , we will gather for quick lunch in rectory dining room and listen to an enlightening talk ." On the Divine Mercy and St. Faustina Kowalska "( Sr. Gaudia Skass ) on video.

At 3pm, we will drive to the movie theater! This is for those who signed up to watch the movie, ROADMAP TO REALITY ( the life and mission of Blessed Carlo Acutis) . Details below.

Fr Joseph is asking parishioners, especially the youth of the parish to join him in watching an inspirational movie on Blessed Carlo Acutis .

The Jubilee of Hope for Youth has been designated on great Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday . And a Holy Spirit led opportunity to celebrate this is by watching this movie which is all about Blessed Carlo Acutis, the saint for teens and young adults in the new millenium. This movie is showing for only 3 days ( April 27-29)

We will leave St A’s at 3pm for the 4pm showing . (Regal Secaucus ShowPlace 14,

650 Plaza Drive Secaucus, NJ 07094)

We have purchased 20 tickets . If you would like your children to join us, pls let us know ASAP by texting to 551-689-0107.

For the first 20 youth from the parish who sign up, Fr Joseph will pick up 50% of the $20 ticket cost.

Parents and everyone else are encouraged to come, but have to pay the full price. You may wish to order online ( https://carloacutisfilm.com/buy-ticket/ ) , as tickets are not guaranteed to be available at the time of showing. Text 551-689-0107 if you need help getting your tickets.

Please Zelle ticket payments for Fr Joseph directly 908-531-9424 ($10 for youth and $20 for adults.

We will need drivers for carpooling .

This movie is so relevant and needed in these times. There is a study showing that 40% of teens are on their phone for 8 hours a day. And that 42% of teens are struggling with depression. It is easy to see that the Internet is holding our children hostage, away from the peace and joy that a life with Christ and a loving family can bring.

Let us ask Blessed Carlo to intercede for our children!

Blessed Carlos Acutis was a 15 year old mystic and Internet genius . He understood the power of the Internet but also the dangers . This movie is about that .

It is called: ROADMAP TO REALITY ( the life and mission of Carlo Acutis)

Here are some inspiring links:
