A Note about Emergency Notifications

From Mr. Handmaker:

Dear Parents:

After the campus lockout earlier this month, we would like to share a reminder of school procedures.

When there’s an ongoing situation or if parents need to take some type of action (such as picking up your children or adapting to a change in the pick-up for the day), we will send a text that begins with: Incident report at Keystone.

If a situation is resolved and we are conveying information, then we will send an email sharing as much as information as we can. This will have a subject line: Incident report at Keystone.

The safety and security of our children is of utmost importance to us and keeping you informed is an important part of it.

The week of Jan. 27-31 is Homecoming Week for the Upper School. Each day, students are encouraged to dress up (appropriately, of course) in a theme:

  • Monday - Emo Day
  • Tuesday - Twins Day
  • Wednesday - Cowgirl/Cowboy Day
  • Thursday - Tourist Day
  • Friday - "Red Out" - Wear red to support the basketball teams games that night

Friday is also Homecoming Game, when the boys varsity basketball plays Kerville's Our Lady of the Hills. Games are at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Also on Friday, a Homecoming Court will be announced based upon student voting of who showed the most spirit in their costumes that week and throughout the year.
Valentine's Day is coming!
A Message from the Junior Class:

Keystone Families!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner! Please support the Junior Class's fundraising effort to throw the Upper School's Prom this year by sending special grams (like balloons, pizza, stuffed animals and more!) to your teachers and classmates!

Valentine's Day is the most celebrated day of the year at Keystone and has been a super fun tradition for many years now. Packets were distributed to all students and faculty on Tuesday, January 21st, but in case you have misplaced yours or are looking to purchase more of a certain gram, here's a link to the packet .

Please turn in completed forms by Monday, February 10th (to your teacher or Nurse Penny) as this helps the Junior Class efficiently organize your order. Quantities are limited, and, by turning in your forms earlier, you can better secure your grams. Thank you for your support and Happy Valentine's Day!

Love,
The Keystone Class of 2021

Billy's Blog: From the Head of School
“A man without ethics is a wild beast loosed upon the world.”
--Albert Camus

You’re on a runaway trolley car as it hurtles down the track toward five unknowing people. At the last moment, you can turn the train onto another track. By doing so, you avoid killing the five; unfortunately, though, you will hit a lone individual standing on this different track and she will die. What do you do?

Meet the Faculty
Meet the Faculty: Spanish Instructor Cesiah Mireya Boryczka
