AP Exams | May 2022
AP Exams will be given over May 2 – 6 and May 9 – 13 at Ballard HS to students that have pre-registered. Learn more.
Senior Meeting | Fri, May 6 | Don't Miss
Counselors in ELA classes to review Checkout Process

  • Naviance SPS Graduation Survey (a graduation requirement) and how to order final transcripts to be sent to colleges
  • Reminder about completing PE Waivers and Washington State History packets if still needed
  • Passing required classes
  • Review Checkout Process Handout, finals, checkout schedule, returning materials, paying outstanding fines, etc.
Seniors should have their laptops to work with the Counselors.
Verify Diploma Name Spelling By May 13 
Urgent! Check names on the lists posted at BHS or on Schoology. The full name including a middle name or initial if on the list will be printed on your Diploma as shown. Send email to: [email protected] only if you have changes
Above & Beyond Service Learning | May 13 
The graduation requirement for Service Learning hours has been waived for the Class of 2022. If working towards the Above & Beyond Award (240 hours or more), hours need to be turned in by Fri, May 13. Reminder: Hours beyond 60 do not appear on the Source. Questions? Voter Registration Event at BHS | May 18
Voter Registration Volunteers will be at Ballard HS Wed, May 18 from 9:40 am - 1:35 pm across from the Main Office to help eligible citizens register to vote by mail. Bring Driver’s License or last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. If US Citizen, you should be eligible to vote by mail after your 18 birthday.

Most Seniors should register now since those who will be 18 by Nov. 8 can vote in both the upcoming Aug. 2 Primary as well as the in the Nov. 8 General Elections. Students 16 and older can pre-register & receive ballots when they become eligible to vote.
Last Day for SPREE Tickets | May 27

SPREE is a fantastic and super fun party for seniors go to after graduation. It’s a great way to have an all-out celebration for the Seniors while ensuring they are in a safe environment. Learn more.
June 2022
SPS Naviance Required Graduation Survey Due June 3

All Seniors must complete the SPS Senior Graduation Survey on Naviance. Indicate a college/university you plan to attend and where to send the final transcripts. All Seniors must complete the survey regardless of their post high school plans, as they will be able to indicate other options. Most importantly, check “attending”, “send final transcript”, save and finish.
The Senior Check-Out is not complete until the survey is finished.

Prom | June 4 | Columbia Tower
The Prom is scheduled for June 4, 2022 at the Columbia Tower from 8pm - 11pm. Theme: Up in the Clouds. Tickets can only be bought by Ballard Seniors, however, Ballard Seniors can invite guests from other schools or other grades as long as they fill out the Outside-Guest form. Ticket sales start on May 5 during lunch & Activity Center (AC). Learn more.
Seniors! Class of 2022 Library Materials Due As Part of Senior Check-Out | June 10

All Senior materials (textbooks, library books, laptops need to be returned and any fines need to be paid via the Source/SchoolPay. Seniors! Please return items as you are finished with them.

BALLARD HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION CEREMONY
Memorial Stadium
WED, JUNE 15, 2022 8pm!

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal time at 10am. Graduation Ceremony at Memorial Stadium at 8:00pm In-Person. No tickets this year, the stadium will be open on both sides as well. The district currently does not plan to Livestream, although there should be a recording posted a couple days later. Learn more about Graduation.
