L'SHANA TOVAH

As we continue this time of reflection and introspection, the JDRC has updated the list of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services that have ASL interpretation, captioning or are led by ASL lay leaders with voice interpretation. If you have questions or need more information about these services, contact the synagogue or organization hosting the service directly.

If your congregation or organization would like to list its Deaf and hard of hearing friendly services in the next issue or on JDRC's social media channel, please email us (jewishdeafresourcecenter@gmail.com):

  • the name of the service,
  • date/time,
  • weblink to a complete description of the event,
  • the type of accessibility service that will be available,
  • ticket fees,
  • the point of contact for additional information and,
  • the synagogue's or organization's logo.

The Jewish Deaf Resource Center staff and Board of Directors wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy new year as well as a meaningful time of reflection and introspection.

SUPPORT JDRC

Using the bi-lingual, bi-cultural model where Deaf and hearing partners are equals, the The Jewish Deaf Resource Center creates “bridges” between the Jewish Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community and hearing individuals and organizations in the wider Jewish community.  We do so by increasing communication access, creating inclusive policy and practices, developing communication solutions, educating, sharing resources, and forming partnerships and alliances.

In addition to a number of its initiatives, the JDRC administers the Interpreter Fund on behalf of the UJA-Federation of New York.

Donate to support JDRC's work. To donate, visit this page.

JDRC is a 501C3 non-profit national organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent of the law. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your generous donation.
