Main Street Lending Program
Members have asked about the Federal Reserve’s Main Street Lending program, authorized under the CARES Act. This program is for larger enterprises, those with 500 or more employees. There is less legislative language on the program; we do not even know if any not for profits would be eligible for the money. Nancy Pelosi is pushing to ensure that NFPs are included. The Federal Reserve is accepting feedback on the Main Street program via its contact us portal. It’s not a formal NPRM process, but it does allow people to submit feedback that they say they will review. Home Health Telehealth Letter
Thanks LeadingAge affiliates across the country (including Indiana) signed on to the home health telehealth letter, asking Congress to make provisions to reimburse home health telehealth visits equitably with face to face visits. Here’s the final letter that was sent.
HUD Updates
HUD Posts Recorded Guidance Update
HUD’s Office of Multifamily posted another weekly recorded update on guidance for MFH programs. The recording features FHA Commissioner Brian Montgomery, Asset Management Director Toby Halliday, Senior Advisor Bob Iber, and others. Read a summary here .
HUD and IRS Update Stimulus Checks Guidance
This week HUD clarified how the stimulus checks and enhanced unemployment assistance should be handled for income calculations (they are not to be counted against income). The IRS reversed itself again by expanding the list of non-filers who will automatically receive their checks to include SSI beneficiaries. See a summary here .

HUD, Rural Housing Issue Mortgage Relief
Today, Rural Development implemented forbearance guidance for Section 538 Guaranteed Loans. The agency also provided sample borrower certification of hardship and forbearance agreements. Both HUD and USDA this week implemented forbearance and underwriting options. See a summary here .
