It is the County’s practice to follow the guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding physical distancing and use of face coverings in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, per CDC guidance fully vaccinated employees no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any work setting, EXCEPT fully vaccinated employees who work within Corrections, Corrections Health and the Medical Clinic are required to wear a face covering and practice prescribed physical distancing unless otherwise notified.

Important information:

  • Per the CDC, fully vaccinated is defined as people who are beyond the two week period after receiving the second dose of a Pfizer/Moderna vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine

  • The CDC is still encouraging the use of a face covering for fully vaccinated people while flying, going to healthcare facilities and/or taking public transit

  • Fully vaccinated employees who prefer to wear a face covering while in the workplace may continue to do so

  • All employees should still continue to practice good hygiene and be cautious of symptoms

NOTE: Employees who are NOT fully vaccinated must continue to wear a face covering AND practice physical distancing per CDC guidelines.

Employees are strongly encouraged to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The County will continue offering onsite vaccination opportunities for employees and their families (ages 12+) on the dates and times listed below.
