For those who may not be familiar, my name is Stacy Tchouanguem and I serve as your Advocacy Manager. In this role, our school engages with elected officials on all aisles to discuss what it means to be a public charter school. Unfortunately, a lot of misinformation is out there, and it is up to us to build relationships and provide research-based information. With support from the Texas Public Charter School Association, we have had the opportunity to engage with state and local officials that contribute to the decisions being made in the Texas educational climate. Last year was busy and full of awesome engagements (check out our Advocacy End of Year Report). 

This year will be even busier as we will be entering the 90th Legislative Session. Deepening our relationships with elected officials will include calls to action as they will be in Austin making decisions that impact charter schools all over Texas. 

If this is something you would like to join, please fill out the interest form and join our meetings! A special thank you to PTO and Booster leaders for allowing advocacy moments during meetings this year. Our sessions will be on the following dates this year:
