Dear Friends,

My heart was so filled with gratitude on October 20! Thank you for your loving goodbye and the festive reception. And thank you for the gifts, the donation to the CJD foundation in memory of my dear John, the “cookbook card” and the notecards to remind me of my beloved church.

I will always carry you in my thoughts and prayers and hopes for a wonderful future in ministry to our Lord.

May God bless you and keep you!

Yours in Christ,

Mary+

This Sunday's Prayer for the Transition

Almighty God, our Father, we earnestly pray for your strength and presence among us as we undertake our search for the next rector of St. Paul’s. Grant us perception, faithfulness and joy, so that we may hear your voice in all our deliberations. Keep our eyes and hearts focused on you as we seek to honor you in this work. We desire guidance through your Holy Spirit and a complete obedience to your will. We pray that you will bless those whose lives touch ours throughout this process. With grateful hearts, may we bear witness to your presence in our lives. Humbly we ask for your steadfast blessing in the precious name of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

Operation Christmas Child

Are you planning on filling a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child? You can pick one up at the back of the church or in Donaldson Hall today! Return the filled box to church on November 10 or November 17.

Things to remember:

Completely fill your shoebox. You can find little toys and accessories in the dollar store. Make it fun!

You could add a personal note and a picture of yourself.

Do NOT put money in your shoebox, BUT...

You are encouraged to donate $10 which is used for training local churches, providing The Greatest Gift Gospel booklets, shipping, etc. You can do this online and track where your shoebox goes. Or you can write a check to Samaritan's Purse, put it in the envelope attached to the How to Pack a Shoebox pamphlet, and mail it. Pick one up along with a preprinted Christmas Child shoebox at the back of the church and in Donaldson Hall (or use any regular sized shoebox). When filling a box, you'll want to provide toys, personal care items and school supplies. Decide whether it will be for a boy or girl, and age 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14. Age specific suggestions can be found at

 https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/

If you have any questions, please email or call me at barbackermann@gmail.com or 443-797-4569. Have fun filling your box and pray to spread the Good News! Barb Ackermann
