Dear OLLI Members,

We’re excited to share that Stony Brook University is enhancing parking options for OLLI members. As part of these improvements, OLLI members are now permitted to park for FREE in Lot 40* (formerly P Lot, off Stony Brook Rd).

The University is also actively exploring additional solutions to make parking more convenient and accessible across campus. Here are some potential improvements being considered:



• Online purchasing options to reduce wait times and eliminate date restrictions.
• Flexible parking to better suit various needs.
• Extended access to parking beyond the last day of each OLLI semester, possibly extending through the start of the following semester.

In addition, the Admin parking garage will soon transition to a gateless entry/exit system using a license plate reader. Members with paid parking can enter as usual, while hourly visitors can pay at a kiosk.

*FREE PARKING IN LOT 40

From Lot 40, you can take the SBU shuttle bus to campus. The recommended shuttle routes are:

• Express East: Drops off by the Life Science tunnel.
• Hospital Chapin route: Stops at the Admin Garage bus stop, across from the hotel.

For more transit information, please check here. A temporary dashboard parking pass can be issued at the Parking Office in the Student Union with your ID and vehicle information.
