Updated Process for Crate Confirmation and Damage Reporting

Dear SGS Service Providers,

We want to inform you about an updated procedure regarding the acceptance of crated shipments from freight carriers.

Effective immediately, when agents receive a delivery from a freight carrier, the carrier will present an electronic device to confirm the receipt of crates. As part of this process, the following steps must be taken:

  1. Electronic Signature: Agents must sign the electronic device to acknowledge receipt of the crates.
  2. Crate Damage Reporting: Any crate damage must be noted directly on the electronic device at the time of receipt. (Example shown below)
  3. Crate Count Verification: Agents must verify and confirm the correct crate count during the delivery process.
  4. Crate Damage Notification:  If any crate damage is observed, agents must promptly notify agentsubro@suddath.com. Please include photos of the damage as well as a copy of the tablet screen showing the damage. If a physical freight bill is provided for signature, document any crate damages on it and forward that information as well.

We ask that you kindly inform your teams to ensure compliance with this procedure to avoid any discrepancies or delays.

Additionally, we’ve attached a photo for reference.

Thank you for your cooperation, and feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

SGS Move Management
