Per the guidance released on September 11, 2020 (SP 25-2020, CACFP 14-2020, SFSP 14-2020), Arizona Department of Education (ADE) has modified the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)/Seamless Summer Option (SSO) application process for School Food Authorities (SFAs) and Community Organizations (COs) to operate SFSP/SSO through December 31, 2020. SFAs do not need to submit a Management Plan for FY20 or FY21; only CNPWeb application(s) will be required. COs will not need to submit a Management Plan for FY20 or FY21, but will need to submit the appropriate Budget(s) and CNPWeb application(s). Additionally, there are no application deadlines.
In order to avoid duplication of services in a particular area, ADE will prioritize SFA applications until September 25th. After September 25th, COs are welcome to begin submitting their application(s) to operate SFSP through December 31, 2020. The Application Reference Sheet for Community Organizations will be released in the coming days.
