LATEST on supports for businesses

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) , has been expanded to provide interest-free loans of up to $40,000. The program will now be available to businesses with sole proprietors, those that rely on contractors, and family-owned businesses that pay employees through dividends rather than payroll. Business owners can apply for support from the CEBA through their banks/credit unions.

This program will now be administered for properties with mortgages, other forms of debt or no mortgages at all with the application process open in the second half of May. Visit the website for these updates and Sign up to receive details when they’re available.
Workplace Plans for RELAUNCH

All workplaces are expected to develop + implement policies and procedures to address COVID-19, including a plan to reduce the risk of transmission among staff and customers. The completed plan must be posted in places of business or online within 14 days of the public being able to attend the business.

For those locations that have remained open throughout the last few months, completion of this template is voluntary.
