Meet the trainer: Kevin Irwin is a Senior Consultant with the UT Health School of Nursing. Over the last three decades he has been privileged to build on his formative experiences as an outreach worker, substance use counselor, and housing case manager to serve in several, often concurrent roles as a program developer and director; evaluator and researcher; educator and trainer; advocate and mentor; organizer and network builder, co-founder several community health non-profits, and more. Since reversing his first overdose 20 years ago, he has been faithfully dedicated to expanding the availability, accessibility, and cultural responsiveness of information, materials, best practices and support for preventing overdose incidence and deaths.
