73rd CSG West Annual Meeting Goes Virtual
Message from the CSG West Chair

Due to the impacts of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic across the West and around the world, CSG West has made the difficult decision to replace it’s in-person annual meeting scheduled to convene in Jackson, Wyoming July 28-31 with a virtual meeting to be held July 29-30, 2020.

Convening a virtual annual meeting will allow CSG West to honor its commitment to our members by providing a forum for policymakers and key stakeholders from across our region to address issues of common interest and share best practices. State leaders across the nation are facing unprecedented challenges and as the current public health crisis continues, I believe it’s critically important that we do what we can to protect the health, safety and well-being of members, stakeholders and guests while continuing to offer a venue to engage and learn from each another. Transitioning to a virtual annual meeting achieves this goal.

If you have already registered to attend the CSG West Annual Meeting in Jackson, CSG West staff will be contacting you to provide details, including reduced registration information, to participate in the virtual meeting. If you have made reservations in the CSG West room blocks at the Snow King Resort, 49’er Inn & Suites or the Elk Country Inn, you will be receiving additional instructions from staff to cancel your reservation. If you made hotel reservations outside the CSG West room block or in another hotel, you will need to cancel those directly.

To our many friends and partners in the private sector, whose contributions make it possible for CSG West to bring together western leaders, please know that we deeply appreciate the significant financial commitments that so many of you have already made in anticipation of our summer meeting in Jackson. CSG West staff will be reaching out to you to provide information and options as we transition to a virtual meeting.

Finally, please know that CSG West and the entire CSG family continues to monitor the ever-changing circumstances and policy challenges related to COVID-19. We remain fully committed to providing members with a wide range of resources and services, including many that have been newly developed or recently enhanced in direct response to the pandemic and its impact on our states. For more information, please visit www.csgwest.org or www.csg.org .

While my colleagues in the Wyoming Legislature and I are disappointed that we will not be able to host you this summer in our great state, I hope you will be able to join us and participate in the CSG West Virtual Annual Meeting. On behalf of the CSG West officers and staff, and the Wyoming Host Committee, thank you all for your continued and unwavering commitment to public service during these challenging times.
