Supporting Our Community
WiSH greatly appreciates KHTS for moving tquicklyo provide a place where people could make donations following the Saugus shooting incident in November. They entrusted WiSH to work with district wellness professionals to suppor the Saugus High School campus and student wellness centers and programs across the entire district.
All of America followed their recent journey as it unfolded in real time; WiSH welcomes them home, in perfect health, to the SCV!
You might not be aware that WiSH administers a program to put out-of-circulation chromebooks in the hands of students who have no computer at home.

In concert with school staff, teachers and district administration, this nearly two year old program has quietly and anonymously identified students to provide them with the tools for success. But when the current situation reached a boiling point and with no precedent set for such an event, the program went into emergency mode.

The district schools' closure announcement happened suddenly; there was only a day and half left of student attendance on campuses. In that short amount of time, teachers and administrators on every campus moved quickly to assess student need, and the district technology department delivered over 3,000 chrome books to our schools for distribution to those students needing access to distance learning classes.

WiSH would like to send a GREAT DEAL OF GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION to program creator and Canyon High teacher Laurel Preisz and District Director of Technology Jon Carrino and his team for organizing this huge task so quickly - incredible job in support of our students!
Just in case you missed our important recent news:
Well we waited as long as we could, but we must put our community's health and safety first and postpone
Wine on the Roof 2020.
DON'T PANIC!!
We are still in planning mode - we have wonderful restaurants, winemakers, sponsors and volunteers. And none of us wants to give up our time on the ROOF!
...especially with our SECRET LOCATION this year!

Let's do our part. Stay in.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. We'll all be much happier to get out of the house and share the space in a short while.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding that these events - and the events recently postponed by so many of our wonderful SCV nonprofits - are the very core of how we raise critical funds.
Our WOTR chefs, winemakers and sponsors make it all happen for you. And us. Please continue to support them in this very difficult time. They do so much to give back to our community, so let's show them our gratitude.
WiSH will keep you up to date on upcoming event information. Thanks for sticking with us.

With much gratitude for all
you do for us,
WiSH

Wish will be announcing the new date shortly - stay tuned!

WiSH's general funding focus is STEAM; our funding has benefitted every single student in the nearly 23,000 student Hart District.

In the wake of the Saugus tragedy, however, we are dedicated to funding wellness centers and wellness programs across the district, as directed by the district wellness team. We also continue to organize the support needed for the Saugus quad renovation. Our goal was to accomplish all of this before the end of the school year... and we got SO CLOSE, making a huge impact on many campuses prior to the recent school closures. WE ARE READY to complete that original goal - and help support all district wellness needs - when schools reopen.
We greatly appreciate your ongoing donations to this special, dedicated fund in support of our local students.

To give a directed donation towards student wellness, please

WiSH relies on our community's support to benefit our local students. 100% of our giving remains in the Hart School District.
