THIS CHAMBER NEWSLETTER IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY

Hello Chamber Members!

What an unprecedented time for our community, with both challenges and opportunities. The Chamber has never been more proud of our leaders and community partners than we are now. We have witnessed what community looks like in its best form. We urge everyone to continue to work together to bring comfort, resources and guidance to those impacted by TS Debby. As a reminder, the Chamber is always here to connect you to the people and places that can assist you.

The Chamber is back to in-person operations and planning for a busy fall has resumed. We have several ribbon cuttings coming up, we hope to see you at all of them. Please join us for our most unique Business After Hours of the year, hosted by East Georgia Regional Medical Center on Thursday, August 22.

Ag Night Out - F1rst Friday, in partnership with the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority, will be on Friday, October 4, presented by Agri Supply. We will be announcing our Leadership Bulloch Adult and Youth classes later this month. We are excited to meet the new classes, and look forward to witnessing their community impact.

Please save the date for our 3rd Annual State of the Region on Monday, October 21. This year's theme will be Bass, Business & Blues, and the topic will be all things workforce. Come learn how local and regional leaders are strategically preparing to fill the quality jobs coming to our area and the impact these jobs will have on the region's growing economy. Registration for this event will be opening soon.

Finally, we want to introduce you to our Ambassador of the Quarter, Maggie David. Maggie makes personal member visits each month, often bringing them a treats, thanking them for investing in the business community. Read more about Maggie at the bottom of this Enews. If you would like to become a Chamber Ambassador, please let us know. We would love to have you! Stay connected 24/7 by following us on Facebook and Instagram, where we engage actively to keep our members connected to the business community.

As always, click on the graphic to register for an event.

We are excited to see you soon!

Chamber Ambassador of the Quarter - Maggie David

My name is Maggie David, and I work as an insurance producer at Lee, Hill & Johnston Insurors. I am actively involved with the Professional Women of Statesboro and serve as the philanthropy advisor for Phi Mu at Georgia Southern. I also stay connected to my alma mater by mentoring current students in the UGA Mentor Program and volunteering for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences—Go Dawgs!

Additionally, I contribute to the Chamber as an ambassador. I love serving our community in this way and am inspired by local business leaders' passion for growth in our area.

In my free time, you can find me hanging out with my one-year-old puppy, Presley, painting, or hunting for unique antiques to complete my home décor. I enjoy trying out new local restaurants and can usually be found anywhere with outdoor dining… once fall rolls around!
