In response to the current Coronavirus situation,  we have decided to cancel the third Literacy Buddy book.  The majority of preschool centers are temporarily closed, and plan to resume care of children when they can. The resumption of care is up to them, as individual providers.

What do I do with my Literacy Buddy book?
For those who have already purchased a book you have two options:
1. You can keep the book until next year to deliver to your new literacy buddy.
2.You can drop the book off to us when we reopen our offices.

                                     This Week's Virtual Program: CKI
(CKI week was Oct 14-19, 2019)

Circle K International is more than the world's largest student-led collegiate service organization. Students gain resume worthy skills, find lifetime friends and do community service that changes lives including that of the student.

The Kiwanis Club of Pullman Washington sponsored the first "Circle K House" in 1936 at Washington State University. In 1955, Kiwanis International officially recognized CKI as a sponsored youth affiliate.

CKI is focused on 3 tenants; Service-Leadership-Fellowship. During CKI week members rack up more than 13,000 hours. They believe in making the world better, one project at a time.   Said one CKI leader, "Service is our thing. It's not just something we do, it's how we're wired." This is one of the reasons that CKI has the highest per member service hour average of any Kiwanis-Family Club. In campuses and communities across the globe they touch lives and make a difference.

A few of our own members have shared their CKI experiences with us. Thanks for your continued service to Kiwanis! We're glad you joined our club.

To learn more about CKI
Our club sponsors at CKI club at FGCU. Although their membership is a bit lower this year the students have been participating in several service projects, primarily on campus for the betterment of projects on campus and agencies in our community. Thanks Rachel for being a CKI mentor to one of the students and for Stewart for checking in with the group from time to time.
March of Dimes- Our local Ambassador Family and club members!

March of Dimes is a program that aligns with our Kiwanis mission and also supported by Kiwanis International. Rachel and Matt's family is the Lee County March of Dimes Ambassador Family for 2020.

Here is how we can support March of Dimes this year:
