June 13th, at 10:00 a.m. Worship
This Sunday, we hear Jesus teaching through the power of parables. He tells us that the kingdom of God is like a seed planted in a field. He tells us that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed.
Our second passage comes from the Prophet Ezekiel where he speaks the word of God telling the people who are in exile that God will plant them back on the highest mountain and they shall be like a mighty tree.
We will also celebrate together the baptism of William "Buz" Bedford and in doing so affirm our belovedness as God's own, planted here in this time to bring about the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.

Listening in is a conversation between Tom Vawter and Pastor Stacy as they take some time to explore the depths of some gorgeous poems. They offer this conversation as a way to enter in and listen in to where the beauty of the poem may be speaking and ministering to us in this profoundly challenging time we are in. May it be a blessing to you. Go HERE to access the video or click on the image of Tom.

Despite Newton’s image as an affluent suburb, too many of our neighbors struggle to put food on their tables. The Newton Freedge is one way we can help. A free, 24/7 outdoor refrigerator and pantry, the Freedge provides free food and personal supplies to anyone who needs them. And our team of volunteers helps keep it running every other Saturday - Email chanellobdell@gmail.com to learn more and to join our team and join the @newtonfreedge Facebook group for updates!

Common Cathedral - Continuing this Month and Beyond
With our partners at the Wellesley Hills Church, we've delivered more than 3000 sandwiches since the start of the pandemic!
Thank you to everyone who has made this ministry possible. It means so much, and there is still so much need. We'll continue delivering food (sandwiches, fruit, and granola bars) as long as we can to our unhoused siblings in downtown Boston, and are signed up for each week this June. To learn more or sign up to help with this ministry, please CLICK HERE. Thank you!
