Welcome to the Nonprofit Directory

Help make it easier for the community to find and learn about your organization.

Our Nonprofit Directory highlights nonprofits serving Butler County and gives each organization a place to share its mission, the people it serves, and the impact it is making.

By joining the directory, your organization can increase its visibility, connect with potential donors and community members, and provide a direct link for people who want to support your work.

If your nonprofit is not listed yet, now is a great time to join! Contact Tracy Eads at teads@hamiltonfoundation.org to submit your request.

2026 Holiday Giving Hub

The 2026 Holiday Giving Hub helps connect donor-advised fundholders and community members with local nonprofits during the season of giving.

Nonprofits are invited to submit project requests from October 1 through October 31. Requests may include support for holiday food programs, gifts, clothing, healthcare items, housing needs, general assistance, and other seasonal needs.

Requests should not exceed $5,000.

The Holiday Giving Hub will be available on our website for online giving from November 2 through December 31, giving donors an easy way to learn about and support participating nonprofit projects. Donations will be distributed to organizations following the conclusion of the program.

Social Media:
More Than Just Likes

For nonprofits, social media is one of the easiest ways to stay visible in your community.

A post might introduce someone to your organization for the first time, remind a longtime donor why they care about your work, help recruit a volunteer, or simply keep your mission top of mind. And remember: not everyone who sees your content will like, comment, or share. Plenty of people are quietly paying attention.

The key is to be intentional.

Know your audience. You do not need to be on every platform. Focus on where your donors, volunteers, partners, and community members are spending their time.

Know your message. Before you post, ask yourself: What do we want people to know, feel, or do? Share stories that show your mission in action, celebrate successes, recognize partners, and give people a reason to care.

Know what is working. Likes are nice, but they are only part of the story. Pay attention to reach, shares, link clicks, event registrations, volunteer inquiries, and other actions that connect back to your goals.

Most importantly, keep showing up. Consistent social media helps people get to know your organization, understand your impact, and remember you when they are ready to get involved.

A good goal? Be social, be consistent, and give people something worth stopping their scroll for.

Nonprofit Spotlight – Butler Philharmonic

Based in Hamilton, Ohio, the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) has grown with the county to offer high-quality music to a region that’s home to more than 400,000. The BPO organization strives to perform a wide variety of high quality orchestral and choral music throughout the Butler County region. The BPO organization consists of the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra, the Butler Philharmonic Chorus, the Butler Philharmonic Guild, and the Butler Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

  • The Butler Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) is composed of 75 professional musicians from around the Southwestern Ohio region. Each year, the BPO performs a wide variety of music at different venues throughout Butler County. These include both indoor venues (e.g., Miami U. Parrish Auditorium and various local churches and high schools) as well as outdoor venues (e.g., Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Hamilton’s RiversEdge.

  • The Butler Philharmonic Chorus (BPC) is the official choral ensemble of the BPO. This mixed ensemble of 50+ voices performs 5-6 times per year and has presented many choral-orchestral masterworks including Mozart’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Verdi’s Requiem. The BPC is the pride of Butler County’s vocal arts and enjoys a reputation far beyond the Tri-State.

  • The Butler Philharmonic Guild (BPG) provides the BPO with program support and helps promote community awareness of the organization. The BPG organizes fundraisers (e.g., The Party of Note and the SpringFest gala), serves as event ushers, and bakes cookies to sell at concerts to support the BPYO scholarship. In addition, the BPG has a yearly sale of chocolate-covered nuts to raise funds for the BPO.

  • The Butler Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BPYO) is an extension of the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra, which believes that arts education is an essential and fundamental necessity. The BPYO provides young musicians with an exceptional training environment and the ability, opportunity and knowledge to perform diverse orchestral.
