Live2Lead
Tuesday, February 28, 2023
The Hyatt Regency Guam
A couple of months ago, Chamber staff attended Guam's #1 annual leadership event, Live2Lead, and we all had a great day with the excellent speakers, plus activities at the tables. If you missed it, or want to send additional team members, there is one more chance. Live2Lead is slated for Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Hyatt Regency Guam. The program is headed by John C. Maxwell, and also features three other world-class speakers: You'll see Patrick Lencioni, author of The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team; Dr. Tim Elmore, founder of Growing Leaders; and the supercharged Eric Thomas, a fast-rising name in leadership circles. In addition, the day will feature leadership activities, and a plan for progress in 2023 and beyond. I've attached the event flyer with general pricing. If your team attended in November, whatever price you paid then will be honored now. Visit the website or register today!

2022 Toys for Tots Announces High School Challenge Winners
Simon Sanchez High School, Okkodo High School and Notre Dame High School have been recognized at top high school contributors to the 2022 Toys for Tots High School Challenge, which challenges schools to collect and contribute the most toys as part of the Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz, Toys for Tots Campaign.
The challenge gave students the opportunity to make a difference during the holiday season by donating new, unwrapped toys to their youth counterparts. The primary goal of the Toys for Tots program is to help bring the joy of Christmas and to send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the high school challenge was re-introduced to the schools last October. Through the generosity of the various highs schools, over 3,400 toys were collected and went directly to local charities such as: The Salvation Army, Catholic Social Service, Mañe'lu, and Harvest House, who then assisted with the distribution of toys to families in Guam.
The program is grateful for the support of the youth, their teachers, administrators and families whose contributions made a difference to thousands of children in Guam, Saipan, Titian and Rota who would not otherwise have had a toy for the holidays. Un Dangkulu na Si Yu'os Ma'åse!

First Heavy Haul Transport For Ukudu Power Plant Scheduled For This SATURDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2023
Heavy Haul Cargo will be transported from the Port of Authority to Kudu in Route 1, Marine Corps Drive. We asked everyone to find alternate routes, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 am on Saturday, February 4, 2023. We also requested drivers who find themselves in traffic with the oversized cargo, to please not drive close to the transport trailer and please drive safely!
The cargo will begin its move at 2:00 pm, exiting the Port Authority of Guam, where it will head Northbound at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 11. From there, the convoy will travel Northbound for the 12-mile distance at 1 mile per hour, Contractors Doosan Kudu Power and Doosan Enerbility estimate to complete the trek in 12 hours, with an additional 4-hour window for contingencies.
